Getting Started with Your Ledger Device

Ledger.com/start is the official setup page for initializing your Ledger hardware wallet, including Ledger Nano S Plus, Nano X, and Stax. This guide ensures you properly secure your digital assets from the beginning.

1. Unbox and Inspect Your Device

  • Make sure your device is sealed and has not been tampered with.

2. Download and Install Ledger Live

  • Ledger Live is the official app used to manage your crypto assets.

5. Confirm Your Recovery Phrase

  • The device will ask you to verify specific words from your 24-word phrase.
  • This step ensures you've written the phrase correctly and in the right order.

6. Pair with Ledger Live

  • Open the Ledger Live app on your desktop or mobile device.
  • Follow the prompts to connect and verify your Ledger device.
  • Once verified, you can install apps for each cryptocurrency you want to manage.

7. Start Managing Your Crypto Assets

  • After installation, you can send, receive, and manage assets using Ledger Live.
  • Ledger Live supports thousands of coins and tokens.
  • You can also access DeFi, NFTs, and staking features through the app.

Security Guidelines

  • Never share your 24-word recovery phrase with anyone.
  • Ledger will never ask for your recovery phrase—not through email, messages, or websites.

  • Store your recovery phrase offline in a secure, private location.
